Wedding Card

This past Saturday I had a wedding shower to attend. Now the twist for this, I thought it was on Sunday. So, I had not gotten all my stuff ready for the shower because I thought I still had another day! Anyway, I thought while I showered and this was the design that came to mind with one change....I had originally thought of having the rings bigger and the words in between the rings where they intersect. Alas, as I got to working on it, I realized that I was running out of time. I was waiting for my clothes to come out of the dryer - like I said I thought the shower was Sunday - so I had to do a quick load of laundry so I'd have something to wear to the shower! The Bride liked the card and I was pleased with it as well.
Cuttlebug swirls for the background
Black and white papers
"happily ever after" white embossed
Rings are "faux metal" with gold emboss
I used the 3/4" hole punch, then I used the 1" punch to center around the smaller hole to make the rings and then taped them down together.
Thanks for looking!

Simply Sent cards

I had gotten a couple of the Simply Sent packets and I have to say, I LOVE THESE kits!!! I made all these cards in less than 25 minutes!!! Sorry the one picture is blurry, but I think you can still see how simple they are and yet I'd be glad to give these as a gift or use them myself. I haven't decided which to do yet.

I had 1/2 sheet of the designer paper, 2 brads and 2 stickers left. I didn't follow the directions they had but still, I am very pleased. If you ever need to be able to make some quick cards these kits are awesome!!!!

An altered notebook

This was a birthday gift for a wonderful friend ~ I wanted to give her something that she wouldn't make for herself. She's also a stamper, scrapebooker, crafter person and is always doing BEAUTIFUL stuff for others. While my gifts are from the heart, they aren't nearly as AWESOME as her creations. But she really did like the book!

So here's the front using riding hood red, white embossing. Then then I did a pocket on the inside and put a bookmark and a card she could send.

One of the pages using the flowers from Loads of Love to make a border on the top and the bottom of a page!

These are some of the individual pages. I used rub ons, stamps and color pencils to make each page different. Sorry some of the pictures are blurry.

MY Favorite page!!! I love the sunflowers.

The picture above uses the Kiwi Kiss and a new set that I'm in love with. It shows that some of the pages were just stamped.

I love woodstock! you can see the next page faintly. Because the paper is thin, I didn't watercolor, I just colored using the watercolor pencils

I've always loved this basket!

This is the back of the book. Every page was different. It was so fun to just get out all my sets and mix and match them.

Thanks for looking!

Some new cards

Here are a few cards I've done with the new colors. Simple ones really. Sorry they are a little blurry, I've seemed to lost my touch since I've not used the camera in a while!

This one uses the new blues and some of the new designer papers! I LOVE the new scallop punch!!!!

This card uses the new colors, as well as rub ons. I love being able to do a card like this. This took less than 10 minutes to complete. I use the white gel pen to make the dots in the scallop!

Thanks for looking!

Getting back on track

It's been a LONG time since I've been on track with my blogging. I'm finally getting back on track and getting settled down after a long year of MANY changes. Anyway, here's the latest news on Stampin! Pictures to follow soon.

Welcome to a new catalog and new year for Stampin Up!!!

I'm going to list some dates and THEN explain some important stuff about the classes. If you have questions, PLEASE CONTACT ME.

DATES:
Friday Sept 12 - 6:30 - 8:30 monthly meeting
Saturday Sept 20 - Stamp a Stack 2 - 6 (come and go as needed)

Friday Oct 10 - 6:30 - 8:30 monthly meeting
Friday & Saturday Oct. 24 & 25 is a Stamp camp - come and go as needed but will

Friday Nov 14 - 6;30 - 8:30 monthly meeting

December 5 - 6:30 - 8:30 monthly meeting

There are 2 ways to participate in the monthly meetings:

1. Join the "club" - this means you will place an order for $15 each month. You will draw a month to receive the benefits of being a club member. More on that below

2. Call by the Thursday night before the club meeting and let me know you are coming and pay $5 for the class - no obligations and you can come when you want to.

WHAT WE DO AT MONTHLY MEETINGS:

This is actually a class time where you will learn one technique and make at least 2 cards. Sometimes we make other items besides cards. If you want to learn new techniques and try out different products, this is a great way to do it on a consistent basis. ALSO, if you make a card between meetings (or more than one) and bring to show the class, you will receive a gift.

Stamp a Stack

Stamp a Stack classes are card making opportunities - the cost is $25 or a purchase of $25 in merchandise - you will be able to make up to 25 normal size cards - if odd sizes are offered the number will be adjusted as needed to insure a good value for you. There will 3-5 options of cards to make and as always you can adjust the cards to fit your needs. Club members pay only $10 for these workshops.

Stamp Camp

Stamp Camp - is a weekend when my home will be open and several projects will be offered for you to make. At Stamp Camp - there will be Christmas Cards, Christmas Gifts and odds and ends for you to choose from. The cost will depend upon the project(s) you choose. I will e-mail and post on my blog the specific projects so you know beforehand. There will be discounts on items for club members.

Club benefits:
1. If we have 8 - 10 members of the club then the hostess will receive hostess benefits for the month. However, if we do not have 8-10 members to ensure that everyone will receive hostess benefits the club members will be compensated with $30 in merchandise from the catalogs free on their individual month. If the sales for that particular month are higher than normal, additional benefits will be awarded. More on this at our first monthly meeting.

2. Club members will receive discounted prices for other stampin workshops.

3. Club members will receive a special gift when they sign up to be a part of the club.

I'm Back!

OK, I've been gone for months because we closed our business, sold everything and I'm just now getting back to "normal." There are so many things I want to download and get caught up on so for the weekend, that is one of my goals.

But a really cool thing is this link I found to print your own designer paper! I had to share this before I did anything else. This is SO COOL and next week at a stamp camp I'm going to be using some of this just to show the ladies coming how they can make their own paper.
